    Confidential chlamydia treatment

    Treatment only - no testing

We do not test for chlamydia. This service provides treatment only, once you have a confirmed positive result and a referral code from your local sexual health team.

    Personalised next steps

Talk through your result, symptoms, and any current medicines so treatment fits your situation.

    Clear plan to move forward

Leave knowing what to do about treatment, partners, and follow-up, with reassurance about common questions.

    Completely confidential

    Private treatment, no awkward conversations

Your appointment takes place in a private consultation room at our Dartford pharmacy. Nothing is discussed at the counter and your details are never shared with anyone else without your consent. This is a treatment service only, we do not carry out chlamydia testing.

    Who can use this service

    • You need a positive chlamydia test result before booking. Testing is not carried out here.
    • Testing can be arranged through the NHS, a sexual health clinic or a reputable home testing provider.
    • No GP referral is needed. You can book directly with us.
    • Recent partners can also be treated, and each person books their own confidential appointment.
    • Treatment is usually a short antibiotic course, commonly taken over one to seven days depending on what is prescribed.

    What happens, step by step

    1. 1

      Book a confidential consultation

Choose a time that suits you. Nothing about the appointment is displayed publicly and your booking is handled discreetly.

    2. 2

      Speak privately with a pharmacist

You are seen in our private consultation room at our Dartford pharmacy. We check your positive result, symptoms, medicines and allergies.

    3. 3

      Receive clear advice

We explain your treatment options, how to take them, what to avoid while treatment is underway, and how to notify recent partners.

    4. 4

      Receive treatment if clinically appropriate

Where treatment is suitable, it is supplied during your appointment along with advice on retesting and reducing reinfection risk.

    When to seek urgent care

Some symptoms need urgent assessment, not a pharmacy appointment

If you have severe pelvic or lower abdominal pain, a fever, testicular pain or swelling, unusual bleeding, or you are pregnant, you may need urgent assessment or referral. Contact your GP or NHS 111 straight away, or attend A&E if symptoms are severe. We will also refer you on if anything you tell us needs further medical assessment.
